How to enable/disable cache exchange mode

This article shows how to enable or disable cache exchange mode. If email is not updating properly you may have to disable cache exchange mode.

Prerequisites

• Microsoft Outlook 365

• Exchange account

Steps

1. Click File > Account Settings > Account Settings.

2. Click the Exchange or Microsoft 365, and then click Change.

3. Under Offline Settings, check Use Cached Exchange Mode.

4. Once you have made changes click next.

5. Exit, and then restart Outlook.

• If you want to turn off Cached Exchange Mode, repeat the steps, but clear Use Cached Exchange Mode check box.

  By default, 12 months of your email is available offline, but you can control how much mail is kept offline.
