Windows Hello for Business

Instructions for setting up Windows Hello for Business

Prerequisites

• Gwinnett County Active Directory Account

• Android or iPhone device

• Microsoft Authenticator installed on the device

Steps

1. Sign in to your device using your usual Gwinnett County network password. If your device passes all prerequisite checks, the Windows Hello for Business setup process begins.

2. When you see the multifactor authentication prompt on your mobile device to verify your identity, approve the notification.
3. Follow the prompts to set up Windows Hello for Business with a PIN (minimum of 8 characters).
4. Optionally, if your workstation has a camera and/or fingerprint reader, you may also set up biometric verification during the setup process.

Congratulations! You can now log in to your device with just your PIN and optionally your face or fingerprint.
