Before You Begin

• Supported OS: Windows 10 or Windows 11 desktop; Windows Server 2016/2019/2022

• Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 installed

• ZDesigner Windows printer driver v8.x or newer recommended; if CPCL/EPL support is required, ZDesigner v5.x can be used

• Virtualization note: With the exception of Hyper-V technologies, Remote Desktop Services and other virtual machines are not supported

How to Install ZebraDesigner 3

1. Open the official Zebra page: ZebraDesigner 3 Software Support & Downloads.

2. Download the latest ZebraDesigner 3 installer.

3. Right-click the installer and select Run as administrator, then follow the prompts to complete setup.

4. Launch ZebraDesigner from the Start Menu.

Additional Notes

Editions

• Essentials (free): Core label design; no license required.

• Professional (licensed): Adds database connectivity, VB scripting, and RFID support. A time-limited trial may be available.

Compatibility

• ZebraDesigner 2 and ZebraDesigner 2 Pro label files can be opened/edited in ZebraDesigner Essentials 3.

Drivers

• Use the ZDesigner v8.x (or newer) driver when possible. If you require CPCL/EPL command language support, ZDesigner v5.x can be used.
