Cause
This issue occurs because the file type you are trying to open or save is blocked by Microsoft Word’s File Block settings in the Trust Center. These settings prevent older or less secure file types from being opened or saved to protect your system from potential risks.
How to Fix It

Open Microsoft Word.

Click on the File tab in the top-left corner and select Options.

In the Word Options window, click on Trust Center in the left-hand menu, then click Trust Center Settings.

In the Trust Center Settings window, click on File Block Settings.

Under File Block Settings, uncheck the Open and Save checkboxes for the file types you want to unblock (e.g., Word 2007 and later documents).

Click OK to save your changes and close the Trust Center.

Try opening or saving the document again. The error should no longer appear.
