Gwinnett County employees using a County-issued Windows computer who cannot remember their Windows Hello PIN.
Symptoms
You may need to reset your PIN if:

You are prompted for your PIN but cannot remember it.

Windows says the PIN is incorrect when signing in.

The PIN stopped working after a password change.

The device asks for a PIN you never set up.
Before You Begin
You must know your County email password. The PIN can be reset, but your password cannot be bypassed.
Instructions
Reset your Windows Hello PIN

Sign into your device using your County email address and password.

Open the Start menu and select Settings.

Select Accounts from the left menu.

Select Sign-in options.

Under PIN (Windows Hello), select I forgot my PIN.

Confirm that you want to reset the PIN.

Enter your County email password when prompted.

Create a new PIN and select OK.
Additional Notes
Your Windows Hello PIN is stored securely on your device and can be reset at any time as long as you know your County email password.
If you receive an error or the reset fails, restart the device and try again. If the PIN still will not reset after a device reboot, submit a ticket for assistance.
