This article explains how to search for services, browse available options, and submit a ticket in the IT Service Portal.

Who This Article Is For

All Gwinnett County employees who need assistance from ITS or want to request an IT service.

Before You Begin

You must be signed in with your Gwinnett County account to view all service options and submit a ticket.

Instructions

 

First: Go to the Service Portal

Visit the Service Portal at https://support.gwinnettcounty.com.

 

Option 1: Search for What You Need

Use the search box at the top of the homepage to look for what you need. Try simple terms like “printer,” “VPN access,” or “Adobe Acrobat.”

  • If a matching service appears, click it and complete the form.
  • Press Enter or click the magnifying glass to see more results.

Option 2: Browse the Service Catalog

If you don’t find what you need through search:

  1. Click Get Support on the homepage.

  2. Browse the service catalog categories such as:

  • Computers, Devices, and Printing
  • Accounts and Access
  • Software and Applications
 

Option 3: Use “Open an IT Ticket”

If you’re not sure which service applies, go to the General IT Requests category and select “Open an IT Ticket.” This is the best option when you have an IT issue or question and aren’t sure which form to use.

 

Then: Complete and Submit the Form

  • Enter a brief summary and a detailed description of your request or issue.
  • Attach screenshots or files if needed.
  • Click Submit to send your request to ITS.

What Happens Next

You’ll receive an email confirmation with your ticket number and a link to check the status. You can also view all your submitted tickets by selecting My Tickets at the top of the Service Portal homepage. The IT Service Desk will review your request and route it to the appropriate team.
