When attempting to control the remote computer, you may see this message:

Cause

This error occurs when TeamViewer cannot display or control the Windows desktop. Common causes include:

  • A program on the remote device triggered an administrator permissions prompt

  • TeamViewer briefly froze or lost access to the desktop session

  • The remote computer became partially unresponsive

How to Fix It

For the remote user:

  1. Reboot the computer.

  2. After rebooting, reopen TeamViewer and allow the connection.

For ITS staff:

  • Reconnect once the device is back online.

  • If this becomes a recurring issue, contact the Service Desk for review.
