Before You Begin

Do not enable Remote Desktop based only on a ticket comment, email, phone call, or informal request. Requests to enable RDP must be submitted through the approved service offering so the required approvals are completed and documented before any technical changes are made.

Enabling Remote Desktop requires local administrator privileges. Windows may prompt for administrator credentials when the setting is changed.

How to Enable Remote Desktop in Windows 11

  1. Open Settings.
