  • The device locks up or becomes unresponsive when maps are used.

  • The Panasonic PC Hub update appears to take too long and may time out.

  • The display driver update does not complete, even when connected at a County location such as the PD Annex.

Cause

The latest Panasonic PC Hub updates may not always successfully download and install the Intel display driver for the CF-33 Mk2. The download may take too long and time out before the update completes.

Resolution Steps

Manually install the display driver

  1. On the CF-33 Mk2 ToughBook, navigate to the following network location:

    \\gctech01\apps\Panasonic Toughbook Drivers\~ Latest CF-33 Mk2 Display Driver

  2. Copy the application installation file from the network folder to the MDT.

  3. Run the copied application installation file on the MDT.

  4. Wait a few moments for the installer to create the required installation files.

  5. After the file is created, navigate to the following folder:

    C:\util2\drivers\video2137

  6. Right-click pinstall.bat and select Run as administrator.

  7. Wait for the installation to complete.

  8. Restart the device after installation, then confirm whether the original map-related lockup or display issue is resolved.
