Request support for any issue affecting County-issued Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs), including Panasonic Toughbook devices used by Public Safety field staff for dispatch, and daily operations.
Description and Details
Use this service to report problems with an MDT that is not functioning correctly. MDTs are primarily used by Police, Sheriff, Animal Welfare, and Code Enforcement field personnel. Common issues include:

Hardware failures (device will not power on, damaged screen, keyboard/touchpad issues, battery or charging problems)

Connectivity issues (cellular, Wi-Fi, NetMotion VPN disconnecting or not connecting)

Docking or cradle problems (not charging, intermittent power, loose wiring)

General performance issues such as freezing, slow response, or random restarts
Who Can Submit This Request?
Public Safety personnel (Police, Sheriff, Animal Welfare, Code Enforcement) and authorized ITS staff.
Required Approvals
None.
Fulfillment Time Frame
The objective is to return the MDT to operational status within 8 hours of receiving the request, when possible. Device location, vehicle accessibility, or the need for additional Public Safety teams may affect completion times.
