Update Radio Talkgroups (Channels)

Request to add or remove radio talkgroups on a County-issued radio (portable, mobile, or console). Use this option when a user requires new talkgroups or removal of existing ones.

Description and Details

This service updates talkgroup permissions on County radios. Typical requests include adding or removing talkgroups. Please provide the end user’s name, alias/user ID, radio serial/model, specific talkgroups to add or remove, effective date/time, and a brief justification.

Who This Request Is For

Gwinnett County employees with County-issued radios (manager approval required).

Required Approvals

Manager approval is required.

Fulfillment Time Frame

Standard turnaround is 48 hours (2 business days) after approvals and device availability. Complex changes or large batch updates may require additional time; urgent requests will be evaluated case by case.
