Description and Details
The County’s cloud storage standard designates Microsoft OneDrive as the approved platform for storing and sharing files in the cloud. Employees who require a different storage solution for business or technical reasons may request an exception.
This request allows users to propose the use of an alternative cloud storage provider (e.g., Dropbox, Google Drive, Box) with proper business justification. Approval is not guaranteed and depends on the nature of the request, data sensitivity, and risk review by the ITS Security Compliance team.
Who Can Submit This Request?
Any Gwinnett County employee with a valid business or technical justification.
Required Approvals
Fulfillment Time Frame
Within one business day following manager approval. Security Compliance review may extend this timeframe based on complexity.
