What Is DRIVES?

DRIVES (Driver Record and Integrated Vehicle Enterprise System) is the official system used by the State of Georgia to manage vehicle registrations, title services, and driver records. It is used by County Tag Offices to assist residents with vehicle-related services.

DRIVES is managed by the Georgia Department of Revenue (DOR) and is integrated with other state systems for real-time access to DMV data.

Who Uses This Software?

DRIVES is used by employees in the Tag Office, primarily within the Tax Commissioner’s Office. Users are responsible for processing transactions related to:

  • Vehicle registrations and renewals

  • Title transfers and issuance

  • Driver record inquiries

  • Calculating and processing TAVT (Title Ad Valorem Tax)
